People’s Emergency Briefing – Luton

An invite from your local green hub: A special community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing #PEBuk

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

We will be inviting our MPs and councillors, and are optimistic that they will join with constituents for this important discussion about our future.

Please book in advance. We can only admit people with tickets on the day.

There is a limit of 3 tickets per order. If you need more tickets, you are welcome to place a second order.

Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome. But please ensure that everyone has booked a ticket.

This is a free event but we do welcome donations on the day towards the cost of hire of the venue and publicity (roughly 3 or 4 pounds per person. We will donate any surplus to the National Emergency Briefing campaign.

Doors open at 5.45pm. Please be seated by 6pm, so we can start on time. The event is due to finish at 7.30pm, but participants are welcome to stay until 8pm for further discussion if they wish.
